Coastal Strip (Private Properties)

The main purpose of supplying regions suffering for water shortage at the coastal strip from Garhabuli to the east to Terfas well to the west and Aziziya to the south to railway to the north is to limit water exhaustion of underground aquifer which declined more than 60 m according to thestudies conducted during the period 1972-1993/ this is one of the most fertile agricultural lands as well as population density and agricultural experience of citizens.

To keep infrastructure, population settlement and develop agricultural structure, it is targeted by the MMR water. Its total area is 137374 hectares and planted area is 118867 hectares. It will be supplied with the MMR water by the line carrying bypass water "Tripoli- Terfas well"; through which the coastal strip will be supplied with water. This line is 64 Km long and contains 9 feeding outlets along its length at a rate of 130,000 m3/day. 9 agricultural tanks are annexed to these outlet, 86,000 m3/ each. Moreover, residential gatherings south of the line will be supplied by drinking outlets supplying areas of Sidi Essaeh, Sbaiaa and Azizyawith their needs of water.
